A brief history
Africa Driven was started in 2006 by Andy and was originally known as Drive Botswana since Andy grew up in Botswana and had gained extensive knowledge of the country.
Over the years, as the company expanded and grew, additional Southern African countries were explored and added with the focus widening to include Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia and, more recently, Malawi.
The growth of the business to cover additional countries made us realise that we had outgrown the original, much loved, Drive Botswana brand and Africa Driven was born. The same team, the same passion, the same expertise – just a different name!

Andy
Andy holds a degree in natural resource management and has an active interest in conservation. He was brought up in Serowe, Botswana and has traveled extensively in Southern Africa. Based in Botswana, Andy is the main point of contact with clients in the run up to and during a trip and handles the more complex booking inquiries.
Dimpho
Dimpho has lived in Palapye, Botswana all her life apart from 18 months spent in the UK. She is a full time Mum but also assists with office admin. Dimpho enjoys traveling, meeting people, writing and making wedding cakes – which she does as a business from home.
Hannah
Hannah joined the Africa Driven team in 2018, successfully balancing being a full time Mum with her admin role looking after quality management. Hannah has enjoyed a number of successful safaris to Botswana and South Africa over the years.
Phil
Phil is an avid wildlife enthusiast and an expert photographer – his wildlife portfolio can be seen on his website. Phil is based in the UK but was brought up in Botswana and has traveled throughout Southern Africa. He has seen a wide variety of mammals and birds, but some species still elude him on camera!

We offer a unique personalized service, with an informative brochure and info pack with every booking, as well as advice on booking flights, visa requirements and immunizations.
We want to share our experiences with you
We know the most scenic routes to take, the best sites to camp at, where to buy food and provisions, and those off-the-beaten-track locations that otherwise would go unseen. The tourism industry is dynamic, new facilities are always being set up. We keep ourselves constantly updated with new information, so that the itinerary we prepare for you is as hassle-free as possible.
We are here for you
We are available 24 hours a day to answer questions at any time. If you are delayed at any stage, we will do our best to rearrange your itinerary for you or suggest an alternative route. GPS rental is standard and Satellite phones are also included on most trips to areas with limited network coverage (these are requirements for certain places – for example parts of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana, Kaokoveld in Namibia and North Luangwa National Park in Zambia).
